April was a good month, the game at Wembley the highlight and it was fitting that one of the stars of that day would be our player of the month. Young Callum is starting to make a very big impact in the footballing world.
With all the commotion of the survival race and the forth coming FA Cup final, we here at Pie Eaters Footie haven’t put together our April player of the month. Well here it is now.
You voted and the man who so far has changed our season in the four games he has played, came out on top. It looked like the Paraguayan defender Antolin Alcaraz would miss the entire season.

Good or bad, February couldn’t have got much worse than January was in the league. The lads came together in the end, and we finished the month with back to back wins that was after two mixed performances against Southampton and Chelsea.
The defender has risen to provenance over the past month as we needed first team defenders, the Spaniard stepped up and has been spectacular for Latics, and was unlucky to be dropped from the team that drew with Southampton at the weekend.

Its that time again, although September hasn't really given us much to shout about in terms of good footballing results. In the league Wigan have slumped to three straight defeats, which has seen us look like we would push on in mid-table.

It went quick didn't it, the first month back with three games (four if you include the Stoke game, which for this I am going to), and it just went. Before you know it we are at the International break and all the players get a two week break.
Well I thought this would be an obvious vote really. There has been one player who has settled into the team and us upside down and give us that extra bit we needed to push on towards the end of this season, That players is of Shaun Maloney who won your vote beating is fellow Scots man Gary Caldwell who has had another good month.
