Our last Premier League game for now, ended in a disappointing draw. In front of massive Wigan crowd the players did deliver on some lovely flowing football and both teams really went at the game; it was the story of Latics season though.

A win at the weekend was a must, we couldn't give in to a draw, and most certainly couldn't sit back and take a defeat. To the credit to our players, they stood up and were counted in a game which could swing our survival chances back into our favor.
With the loss of Antolin Alcaraz the Wigan starting line-up had to change there was no getting round that. But in a bizarre move which confused many, Roberto Martinez brought a midfielder in defender, dropping Gary Caldwell back to the bench.
Disappointment, that is what I was and many Wigan fans were feeling after the weekend’s game. After the City performances we felt that we could step up now and win a few games and look to climb out of the bottom three. How wrong were we?
