Both player can now be confirmed out (the match report you may have read suggested Di Santo's possible inclusion, that was written last night!) they will miss the game both through muscular strains. Antolin Alcaraz has missed over three weeks of Wigan football, and since returning from international duty has had a groin injury. The latest reports suggest we will have to march on without the defender, as he is still another week away.

There is however better news for Franco. The striker came of two weeks ago against Manchester United, and hasn't played since. Franco still has the groin injury, however he is on the mend, and could be ready for next weekends game against Everton.

Not as good as we would have hoped. Yet it means that Mauro Boselli will be in the line up for a start to replace his fellow Argentinian. Hopefully Boselli won't dissapoint in the Premier League.
