Weekly Poll: Will Victor go in the Summer
Well as the January transfer window drew to an end last week, it was quite clear that a few clubs were interested in our talented young winger (Victor Moses). QPR was the main club that looked to get in there ahead of anyone else and had launched a bid for the player, to say it was rejected was an understatement.
Nearly 65% of you have said that you believe the player will move on this summer, and I have to agree with you, that is if we can't tie him down to a new deal between now and the middle of the summer. Both Victor and his agent have said that they want him to remain at the club, so why hasn't he signed on the dotted line.
The 21 year old was one of the hottest talents in football a few years back, and Wigan manged to sneak in and sign him for £2.5 million, after making his way up through the ranks at Crystal Palace. If we do go on to sell him, we could make a good profit out of it.
Now he has yet to really reach his full potential, and moving away when he is still learning could be the wrong mistake for Moses. At least another two seasons and he will be and should be coming into when players peak. For me staying at Wigan then, is the best option. We provide him game time, and also being a major part of the team, which helps any player.
His ability I don't believe you can question. Just watch him play and he knows what and how he wants to do things. Its just that his execution at times is, well poor. You could say worse than Di Santo, or is that being harsh?
If Moses scored at least half the chances he had created for himself this season, well I don't believe we would be bottom of the Premier League, and I could imagine there would have been some offers from clubs.
If he does go, then i believe it should be to someone like Liverpool or Newcastle. Who will take him onto the European level. Currently we can't do that.
