Preview: Wigan vs Tottenham

Well five games into the new season, and already the pre-season hype is draining away from the squad.

The last few performances have been flat and simply not good enough to gain points. That has to improve.

There is no time like the present, and going into the game at home, where we have yet to be beat this season, is a good chance to get more points on the board.

So how is the squad going into the game? Well still no Gohuri and Alcaraz, while Rodallega joins the injury list. Good news out of the club is that it isn't as bad as originally thought, hopefully he can make it back by new year.

So how are Tottenham going into the game, well having had a good start to the new season, only a 5-1 drumming by Man City showing serious worries.

Since then Harry has moved players round and changed the way they played. It resulted in a 4-0 win over Liverpool.

Our chance against them?

Reasonable good, we have got a good recent home record, with the fans getting right behind the players, and that will be needed again this weeked against a strong Tottenham team.

Their man to watch, yet again so many great attacking players to choose from. The last year there has been one man who has stood out for Tottenham.

Gareth Bale, the left back come left midfield. Always showed promise and he has started to show his quality.

Left foot or right foot he is a danger, with pace and a the eye for goal or a pass, he is a world class player.

Whether it is crossing the ball into the box, or taking a shot from distance he is a danger.

It will be an interesting game in all. Both teams love to pass the ball, and both want to go out and attack.

With the fans behind them and playing as they can, our lads will go out and win the game.
