N'Zogbia Mersey Bound, McCarthy to Renew

Reports coming out over the weekend suggest that Charlie is set to make the switch to the red side of the Mersey. The offer amount has been agreed, and the player is supposedly in the talks over a contract with Liverpool.

James McCarthy

The Republic of Ireland international is poised to sign a new contract for Latics, that is the news coming out of Wigan today. The midfielder has reportedly been swayed by Martinez's loyalty to the club and thus will sign a new contract to keep in at Latics for the near future.

Ali Al Habsi

A £3.7 million bid has been turned down by Bolton and they are going to hold firm till Latics pay at least £4 million for the goalkeeper. Owen Coyle, has reportedly said that Bolton are in no rush to sell Ali and would be happy to see him stay.

Alvaro Vazquez

The 20-year-old attacking midfielder, has featured in 30 games for Espanyol last season, scoring four goals. The player has been part of Spain's under 21 set up, and Martinez is looking at making a bid in the region of £2.5 million for the player.

Hendry Thomas

Currently away playing for Honduras, the defensive midfielder has been told that he will be part of Martinez's plans for next season. The 26-year old has not regularly featured in the Wigan side since Christmas after a minor injury. But Martinez has been adamant that the player has a place in the Latics team, in the forth coming season.
